Our most prestigious and largest project to date was the full design and installation of mechanical services for the brand new head office and flagship store for Chanel on New Bond Street. From design development alongside the architectural team through to the successful delivery of all mechanical services to include Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, Gas Fired water heaters and all associated pipework and services. Over 100 4 pipe fan coil units located over 5 floors, Trend BMS Controls system, Smoke extraction, UPS and Sprinkler Systems. M&E services fully coordinated and installed within boutique ceiling voids designed and installed to a tolerance of 2mm to enable ornate ceiling installations to follow. GMS have undertaken the full Planned Preventative Maintenance for the building since installation.

LVMH House

The project at LVMH house entailed the upgrading of an existing Mitsubishi Electric AC system to Heat Recovery system. GMS were employed as lead services engineers and works closely with the architects to complete the project in a live occupied building working in phases to complete the project with minimal disruption to the occupants. New MEUK condensing units were stripped down, flat packed and rebuilt on site along with Nuaire Heat recovery air handling systems. in addition to the AC upgrade works new ductwork and grilles were supplied and installed rectifying a previous installers poor installation. The works were completed across all 5 floors of the building and involved navigating high end finishes with care and consideration to deliver the project.
BROADCASTING HOUSE

Portland Place - 18 months

Broadcasting House is the headquarters of the BBC, in Portland Place and Langham Place, London. The project is being undertaken across all 10 floors of the main building. On this project we are undertaking the refurbishment of all the washrooms within the building along with the refreshment of the tea points. All services are being coordinated by GMS to include Reflective Ceiling Plans. Within the washrooms new Gerberit and Armitage sanitaryware is being installed along with associated services. New WC extract system to cubicles is also being provided. Tea points are being replaced with new joinery units which we are installing water heaters and zip taps throughout.

Civil Aviation Authority - 20 weeks

GMS have recently undertaken the full Design & Build Category B Office fitout for the Civil Aviation Authority Head Office in Canary Wharf. Including the safe isolation and removal of the existing Mechanical Services to facilitate the proposed works. Installation of new HVAC systems consisting of fan coil units, heating and chilled water pipework, Washroom facilities, Kitchen areas with Leak detection and Server Room Cooling Solutions complete with Fire Suppression System.

We undertook the design, coordination and installation of mechanical services including Air Conditioning and ventilation systems along with electric heating to common areas across six floors. AC & Vent was provided in the form of Toshiba Heat Recovery VRF systems with roof mounted condensing units. GMS employed DSM contract lifting services to undertake an out of hours crane lift including road closures and traffic management to lift the AC condensing units to roof level. New kitchenette and washroom facilities were also installed including hot water generation and sump pumps within the basement.

Conversion and enlargement of former piano warehouse in Camden to create new offices for a successful and expanding digital design company. Daikin Heat Recovery VRV air conditioning and ventilation systems were installed across 5 floors of the property with all service exposed and ‘’on show’’ demanded a high standard of installation.
This project aims to express the materials of construction and avoid as far as possible the encasement of either structure or services. This is partly to maintain as much as possible the sense of volume, and partly to pursue the architectural goal of honesty to component parts.

GMS undertook the full refurbishment of an existing property to provide a conditioned environment to the newly created office space along with penthouse apartments. The site is located within a residential area and all equipment and plant installed included specific acoustic measures to satisfy the planning requirements. Daikin Heat Recovery systems were installed with ducted style external units located within an acoustic housing complete with acoustic intake and exhaust louvres for further sounds reduction.

The existing office demise was stripped of all engineering systems services and fully refurbished to provide office accommodation which can be leased as a single demise or as two separate demises and the electrical and mechanical services systems have been designed to facilitate this. GMS supplied and installed Mitsubishi Electric VRF systems, Nuaire heat recovery fresh air ventilation and toilet extract systems. In addition to this we design and installed a fire and smoke damper system
